The summer sunshine seems to have arrived at last and it has been great at break and lunchtimes to be outside enjoying the field and the warmth!

In Talk Tuesday we discussed whether there are more wheels or doors in the world which led to us really thinking about our environment. Our talk triads enabled us to use sentence stems to articulate our thoughts and to build on or challenge each other respectfully.

The class talk detectives this week did a great job of monitoring and giving feedback on how well successful talk was being carried out.

As mathematicians this week, Y5 learnt how to convert different units of measure but in order to do this, they needed to be clear on what capacity is. Look at them working together to predict, measure and record their findings on capacity.

On Wednesday, we welcomed Tom from UK Parliament Outreach who spoke with us about The Houses of Parliament and what happens there as well as how, as a democracy, UK citizens can vote for who makes the decisions around leading our country.
