Term Five Week 6

It has been lovely to be back in school this week after the Year 6 camp at Charterhouse last week. We have thoroughly enjoyed being historians and learning about our local history. Year 5 and Year 6 have been exploring the question ‘Was it ever ok to smuggle?’ and have loved finding learning that smuggling took place right on our door step – and in The Ship pub!

Having researched the people involved in smuggling (guards, customs officials, customers, smuggler, landlords) we held a debate to answer the above question.
