Term Four Week 1
What a busy four days back we have had – it’s been lovely to welcome all the Year 5 and Year 6 children back to school after the half term break.
As mathematicians, Y5 have been learning how to calculate the perimeter of regular and irregular polygons by measuring and also by working out missing measurements.
Our new learning unit as linguists has introduced us to vocabulary associated with habitats: les plantes, les animaux et les habitats.
Continuing our enquiry of ‘How does our world rage?’ , we learnt about the main rivers around the world. As geographers, we carried out research in pairs to find out the length of each river, where the source and the mouth can be found and which countries they run through.
