Term Four Week 5
As geographers this week, Y5 and Y6 children have been studying ordnance survey maps using the map symbols as a key to understanding physical and human features of the local area. They are really looking forward to their class river walks next week which will enable them to see the map ‘come to life’ as they explore the journey of a river as it come to its end at Uphill and the open sea.
We were so proud of our Y5s taking part in the times table challenge-off when Fin and Olivia were up against each other in a speed challenge of their times tables knowledge in front of the whole of KS2. They did brilliantly and showed so much courage which is one of our school values.
We have been enjoying playing rounders this term and have been developing our striking and ball skills as well as collaboration as part of a team.
