Term One Week 1

Welcome to the start of the academic year 2023-2024 and what a fantastic first four days back we have had – if not a little on the hot side!

It has been great to see the new Year 5s settle in so well to life in Upper Key Stage 2 and the Year 6s are definitely showing them the routines and expectations in each class.

We have been spending time getting to know each other through community builder activities:

And have been reminding ourselves of our school rules: ready, respectful and safe. Some classes made posters and signed their class charter showing how these rules are understood.

The whole school have been looking at eh book Change Sings written by Amanda Gorman which has some powerful messages about how, if we all come together, then change can happen. In Years 5 and 6, we thought about how we could make changes in our own lives as well as globally.
