Week Five already – how the term is flying by!

This week, as mathematicians, Y5 children have been exploring decimal numbers: their values and how to add and subtract them. Developing oracy as a mathematician continues to be a focus for us and you can see in these pictures that the triads of children are convincing the rest of the class of their point of view by reasoning their thoughts.

As linguists, Y5 and Y6 learners discussed why it was important to speak a modern foreign language and classes shared what languages were spoken at home as well as English.

As designers this week, Mrs Haberfield led the Y5 and Y6 children in practising their needlework skills so that they are able to design and create a stone age item later in the term.
