Term one Week 6
It is Black History Month and the Y5/Y6s have been learning about influential black people who have impacted life nowadays – Michell Obama inspired lots of us when we read about her in guided reading.
As scientists and as part of our enquiry ‘Where i our place in space?’ we have been studying the phases of the moon during its orbit around Earth. Have a look at us making booklets to demonstrate our understanding of this concept.
As writers, we have used our quality text ‘Cosmic’ to write in role persuading Florida to come on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to a new theme pack. We had to use persuasive techniques: exaggeration, alliteration, rhetorical questions and the power or three. Here are some of our first drafts which we will edit, revise and re-draft next week:
