Term One Week 7

How it has felt so autumnal over these three days in school this last week of term one! We have loved being able to enjoy the sunshine at lunchtimes and our Y6 prefects have been doing a fantastic job with their lunchtime roles and duties. Have a look at them here in action: sharing a book with younger children in the library; supporting play on the KS1 playground; positive play with equipment with lower KS2 children as well as helping out in the hall.

As writers, we have taken a lot of pride in completing our persuasive letter writing by publishing our work.

In PE, Y5/Y6 children spent time carrying out their warm-up activities before developing their collaborative skills in team games.

During guided reading this week, some of us have been focussing on vocabulary and looked how effective word choices influence the impact of a poem on the reader. The Highway Man poem has some rich vocabulary .
