Term Six Week 1

Welcome back to the last term of the academic year – we hope you had a fabulous half term break. It has been great to have everyone back in school.

We have been very busy in Years 5 and 6. Take a look at our pictures to see what we have been up to!

As scientists, we took our learning outside this week and used our scientific skills to investigate the different parts of a flower and drawing scientific diagrams.

In maths, Y6 children used all their mathematical knowledge to solve missions and challenges based on a space mission. They worked in pairs and explained their mathematical thinking using sentence stems.

We had a Talk Tuesday discussion about what makes successful oracy so that it would provide us with guidelines to follow when taking part in whole-class conversations.

As part of Art Week, we have designed and made our own Greek Temples making sure we were accurate when measuring our designs.
