What a freezing-cold week it has been! However, this did not stop Years 5 and 6 enjoying their trip to Caerleon on Wednesday – we had the best of days seeing our Roman learning coming to life through workshops, museum guides and exploration of barracks, amphitheatre and Roman baths.

Back in class, we have supported our history learning by continuing with our quality text ‘Roman Quests’ and explored the characters’ thoughts and feelings during an exciting chapter – as readers, it was great to infer how the characters’ emotions changed during the scene. Look at our freeze frames which showed this understanding.

It is always great to celebrate achievements and talents of children out of school. Look what Eva from Orion class drew at home in her art book which she enjoys drawing in as a hobby. She has a real talent!
