We have loved being scientists this week and carrying out investigations to see which substances dissolve in water and which don’t. It really is great to be using our enquiry and qustioning skills while carrying out practical experiments. We identified what we had to be like to be an effective scientist.

In English, we have been reading our quality text ‘Roman Quest’ and getting to know our charcters through hot-seating activities which helped us to write in role and produce a persausive speech which used formal language and showed our deliberate vocabulary choices.

The eco-warriors in Orion class enjoyed collecting used yogurt pots to recycle as bird feeders with the aim of encouraging an increased number of birds to our school grounds this week for the RSPB’s Big School Bird Watch.
