This week, as readers, we have been developing our summarising skills by reading a chapter of our book ‘Cosmic’ and summarising the main points succinctly

As part of our ongoing enquiry ‘Where is our place in space?’, we are being historians this term and learning about space exploration and voyage. The question we discussed first was is astronomy the same as exploration?

Sharing our findings, we got into chronological order of the astronomers’ birth dates and explained to the whole class what we had found out about each one.

As artists this week, Mrs Haberfield taught us about Rangoli patterns within Hinduism (because it was Diwali) and Sikhism. We studied them and then designed our own.

Orion’s eco-ambassadors were proudly awarded their badges and now are focussing on recycling flexible plastics this term so they are collecting items like crips packets and chocolate biscuit wrappers at lunchtimes to be recycled at a local co-op.
