Term Two Week 5

This week has seen Y5 and Y6 children developing their oracy skills – in particular, those needed for discussion because we held debates in all three classes to discuss whether space tourism should be encouraged or not?

We used sentence stems too give us the confidence to articulate our points clearly and formally.

Having presented the fors and againsts of space tourism, the children are now going to write a formal discussion text around this question.

As linguists this week, we have been learning how to say the weather in different parts of the country and practised the phrases by giving each one an action- that way, we will hopefully remember them. Il fait du soleil=it is sunny.
