Term Two Week 6
It has certainly been feeling more festive this week in Years 5 and 6 as December is well underway.
And Bobby from Orion class performed a piano duet with Mrs Tinker in singing assembly – it was ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’ which the whole school thoroughly enjoyed.
As writers, we have been looking at how authors use figurative language in their writing to create a powerful description and image to the reader. In Wolf Brother, we identified many examples of where Michelle Paver has used similes and metaphors for literary effect.
We then had a go at classifying and writing our own similes and metaphors ready for next week when we will be writing a narrative in the style of this author.
