Orion Term 1
It is week 5 already and time is really flying by! This week in Orion Class we have continued to read our class quality text ‘Cosmic’ written by Frank Cotterell Boyce and have produced several different types of writing based on it: descriptive writing, persuasive writing and recount writing. The children’s stamina to write at length is developing week on week and they have been working hard to improve their joined-up handwriting as well as explore using a greater range of punctuation to good effect – just like authors do!
The question for our project this term is Where is our place in Space? We will be learning all about space science: our solar system (planets, the moon, stars and galaxies), the space race and what it’s like to be an astronaut
