Week 4

Week 4

Well done to all our Year 6s for completing a few more practice SAT papers this week.  They did really well with the arithmetic, reading and SPaG papers from a few years ago and we’ll try the maths reasoning papers next week.

Date for the diary – Year 6 parents.

On Monday 10th February, (2:45-3:15) we are offering an opportunity for parents to drop in and hear a bit more about the KS2 SATs in May.  We will cover the timetable for the week, the papers the children will be doing, give you an opportunity to look at some recent papers and ask any questions.

This week as artists, we have been using the picture of Hokusai’s Wave to inspire our own artwork with pencil. We have been building on our skills with shape and pattern.

Week 4 Week 4

As computer scientist, Unicorn were learning about vector pictures by using Microsoft Powerpoint to construct increasingly complex images with shapes.

Week 4 Week 4

As linguist, we used our group work and oracy skills to discuss topics and share ideas.  One person was the talk detective, tracking our discussions, identifying who was talking, and feeding back on the skills we were using.
