Year 6 Prefects

Prefects 2020

Year 6 Prefects

In Year 6, children will have the opportunity to become school prefects. Children who wish to be a ‘prefect’ will be chosen for having a positive, responsible attitude and become excellent role models to the rest of the school.

The children in Year 6 have been given their prefect badges and are now ready to take on more responsibility in school. This term, the Year 6 children in each class have taken an area of responsibility and have become wonderful ambassadors for their subjects.

Orion – Eco ambassadors

Unicorn – Reading ambassadors

Pegasus – E-safety ambassadors

They have three tasks to carry and out complete this term.

  1. They will hold an assembly to highlight the importance of their subject and showcase their learning in this area. As ambassadors, they will share suggestions and demonstrate what other children can do to improve their knowledge and skills in this area.

  2. The children will produce a newsletter sheet to accompany school newsletter explaining their prefect/ambassador role and sharing their interest in the subject.

  3. Year 6 children will be given the opportunity to read and share a story in the hall to children in EYFS/KS1 during the week.
