Term 5- Week 3
Week 3
We have had such a lovely week in Year 2.
In English we have been busy writing a persuasive leaflet about London. We used brilliant adjectives to describe what it’s like to explain to the reader why they must visit.
In history this week we investigated what life was like in the year 1666 to prepare ourselves for finding out more about the fire. We looked at learning such as the monarchy, people’s jobs and the plague.
Continuing our topic of fractions, this week we have focused on non-unit fractions, equivalent fractions and counting in fractions. We have used different recourses to support our learning and have done lots of reasoning and problem solving questions.
We have been continuing throwing and catching in PE lessons in Pluto. This week we completed different challenges, both on our own and in teams, to score points.
In DT we have looked at some more different mechanisms, focusing on wheels and axels this week.
