Term 1 Week 1

Welcome to Year 2!

We hope that everyone has had a wonderful Summer and we have loved meeting our new classes this week. We have been really impressed with how the children have settled in.

Our Meet the Teacher morning is Wednesday 10th September at 9am in the school hall. We look forward to seeing you there.

What have we been up to this week?

As citizens, we talked about our class rules, created our class contracts and discussed the differences between Year 1 and Year 2. We are now role models to the younger Key Stage 1 classes.

As readers and citizens, we listened to the story, ‘Can I join your club?’ We discovered that it is important to celebrate our differences and that sharing is caring. We created our own clubs in which we can all be a part of and created posters to showcase our differences.

As mathematicians, we played lots of different number games We needed to work strategically and systematically in order to secure the win!
