Week 4

A lovely start to October this week! We are looking forward to taking part in ‘Oracy October’ this month where there is a different challenge or activity every day. This week we enjoyed creating our own discussion guidelines in our classes to think about what good oracy looks like.

As mathematicians we have been comparing numbers to 100 using symbols <>=. We then moved on to ordering numbers to 100 and explaining how se know.

As scientists we investigated this statement:

We decided that the statement is sometimes true because some solids, like the whiteboard, are hard but some are soft like the feather.

As athletes this week we were practising our footwork. We started with side stepping and then added in a pivot as a challenge. We then tried a hopscotch!
