Term 1 Week 5
What a fantastic week we have had!
As scientists, we investigated the statement ‘Solids are hard is this always, sometimes or never true?’
We decided that the statement is SOMETIMES true because some solids, like the whiteboard, are hard but some are soft like the feather.
As writers, we have started to innovate the story of the Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. Stay tuned to see some of our published work next week!
As mathematicians, we have been learning to compare numbers and objects by using the greater than, less than and equal to symbols. We used our agree and disagree hand symbols and used because to justify our answers and ideas.
As computer scientists, we revisited our knowledge from last week about information technology and digital devices. We built on this knowledge by learning how to drag and drop images of different I.T devices and learned how to resize them. We had great fun making the images huge and spinning them around before returning them to their normal size.
We finished with a game of memory snap and needed to name the device in order to keep the matching pair!
