Term 1 Week 5
It has been a productive week in year 2!
As writers, we have been linking nouns and adjectives together to make expanded noun phrases. We created a Mr Grinling adjective slinky and listed adjectives to describe him at different points in the story. We then applied these words into sentences to make expanded noun phrases about him.
As Geographers, we have been learning about different regions of England. We looked at maps and then applied our knowledge to complete the region jigsaw.
As computer scientists, we have been learning to define information technology. We learned that information technology is something that requires a computer to work or be used. Examples include a printer, a digital camera and a laptop. We sorted object cards to show our understanding.
As mathematicians, we have been ordering numbers and creating number lines. We started the week by placing ourselves in order from smallest to largest or largest to smallest and then progressed to showing numbers on a number line.
