Thank you to all our families who came to parent’s evening this week, it was lovely to meet you all and have the opportunity to talk about your children with you.
As shown in our Parent’s evening below is our top 50 recommended books:
This week as writers we have had the opportunity to create a report all about Weston-Super-Mare. We were able to explain all of the things you can do and see, what you can eat and how to be safe at the beach. It has been great to see how much we have already learnt in term 1.
When learning in maths we have been looking at how we can rearrange a number sentence to make adding 3 numbers together easier. This week we also kept reminding ourselves of our number bonds to 10.
As artists we explored different pattern making this week and we had great fun spotting patterns around our classroom.
When learning in science this week we looked at the diffeent states of water. We had the opportunity to draw a process such as melting or evaporation and our learning partner had to guess what it was.
For geography we have been learning all about the different continents. We had an amazing time singing our continent song!

As Readers we have been detectives, trying to find clues in our book Flotsam. We looked at different expressions to help us think how the characters might be feeling. This is a great skill to help us understand plots and characters!
NEXT WEEK: Week 7 is our last week of term 1 and we are only in school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as the last two days are insets.
