Term 1 Week 7
Have a look at what we have been learning this week!
As writers and Geographers, we were lucky enough to have a visit from the RNLI. We learned all about their role in the local community, how we can be safe near water and what to do in an emergency. We will use our new knowledge next week when we write non-chronological reports.

As mathematicians, we have been learning how to make 10. We started the week by recalling our number bond knowledge and using equipment to show different number bonds to 10. We ended the week by learning about working systematically in order to find out all the possible combinations from 0 to 10. We extended our learning by thinking about bonds to 20.

As readers, we completed some paired reading and we were very lucky to have a visit from Year 5/6. We loved listening to them read some of our favourite stories. They read with expression and tone and discussed the pictures with us too!

As computer scientists, we have been learning about a range of I.T which stands for information technology. Information Technology is a device that is a computer or one which requires a computer to work. We applied our knowledge using a game of memory snap and we could only claim the matching pair if we could name the device. We had great fun!

As musicians, we have been learning about un-tuned percussion instruments. We can identify and name each item and compared the pitch of each one.
