Term 1 Week 7
Another busy and brilliant week!
As geographers, we started the week with a special visit from Alan who is from the RNLI. We learned all about what the RNLI do to help keep us safe. We thought about all the dangers on the beach including sinking mud and swimming out too far. We learned what we could do to avoid the dangers happening and how we can alert the RNLI if we need assistance for ourselves or someone else. The most important message we learned was:
‘If you see a red flag, DO NOT go in the water!’
Understanding the world and being citizens. Today in assembly we had some visitors! Rev Madeley visited us to lead a whole school about harvest and Anne from Weston food bank explain what happens with our harvest donations.
As mathematicians, we have been making ’10 again’ by using our knowledge of bonds to 10.
As artists, we went on a pattern hunt around school. We then discussed the ones we found, what we liked and disliked and created patterns of our own.
