Term 2 Week 3
We are starting to get ready for our Christmas concert, a letter with more details will be emailed out this week.
As scientists, we have been researching how materials can be measured. We learned that solids can be measured by their weight, height and length using cm, m and g and liquids can be measured by their volume using ml or l. We looked at packaging and observing the weights as well as measuring items which don’t have a weight listed on them using rulers, tape measures, measuring jugs and weighing scales. We recorded and compared weights and lengths of a variety of solids and liquids

As writers, we have been learning how to use adjectives and expanded noun phrases to describe a setting. We started the week by thinking about appropriate and relevant adjectives to match with pictures from our book ‘The snail and the whale’. We then looked for descriptive words in a WAGOLL and then began to plan our own setting descriptions.

As athletes, we have been developing our balancing skills using gym equipment. We loved having the opportunity to explore and use a variety of equipment
