Term 2 Week 5

Year 2 will be holding a carol concert next week at St Nicholas’s Church by the park on Thursday 8th December at 2:15pm. In the meantime, if you would like to practice any songs with you children the links are below. We will be practicing them in school so please don’t worry.

We have been practicing very hard this week to prepare for our carol concert but we’ve managed to fit in a lot of learning too!

For part of our enquiry question ‘Where in the world are we?’ we presented all of our learning for year 3/4. We enjoyed answering their questions and teaching them all about our place in the world and comparing Weston to Shanghai.

As writers this week we have finished creating our own stories about constellations. We have enjoyed listening to everyone being super creative in their writing.

In maths we have continued with our learning of adding and subtracting numbers, finding fact families and related facts. We have loved strengthening our understanding of all of these.

As scientists we have been learning all about the moon and its phases.
