Term 2 Week 6
It is starting to feel very festive this week!
As musicians, we loved putting on our Christmas Carol Concert this week. Thank you to all the adults who attended to support. We spoke clearly and sung beautifully. We even learned Makaton to support some of our songs!
As citizens, we learned the Christian story of the nativity that explains the story of Jesus’ birth. We used lolly stick puppets to act out a retelling.
As writers, we have been learning about verbs. We started the week by recalling what a verb was and acted out some examples of verbs. We then used verbs in sentences and finally learned about bossy verbs and identified some in instructional writing.
As mathematicians, we have been exploring the concept of exchanging 10 ones for 1 ten. We did this practically and then applied our knowledge to some written questions.
