Term 2 Week 6

We have had a creative week this week!

As writers, we were asked to give instructions to Mrs Counsell and Mrs Maynes to let them know how to wrap a present. We needed to think about the order and clarity of our instructions so that they could complete the task. We thought about the importance of a you will need list for them to be prepared, clear numbered steps using time connectives so they knew the order to complete the tasks in and bossy verb filled command sentences.

We were then given some instructions but the order was all jumbled up. We worked together to correctly order the steps and justify our reasons for putting them in the order that we decided on.

As mathematicians, we have been learning about how to subtract across a ten using the exchanging method. We used dienes to help with our understanding and worked together to solve some problems and prove that we were correct using sentence stems.

As musicians and performers, we loved taking part in our carol concert on Wednesday afternoon.
