Term 2- Week 7
Week 7
We had an amazing week filled with lots of Christmas fun!
In maths this week we have been recapping everything we have learnt this term, focusing lots on addition and subtraction.
In English we have continued to learn about imperative verbs (bossy words) and have used our new knowledge to write a set of instructions on how to wrap a present. We included imperative verbs, time conjunctions, adverbs and commas!
In Geography we have recapped over everything we have learnt in our enquiry ‘Where in the world are we?’ and made a news report for our presentation of learning. This will be up on our Youtube channel for you to watch by the end of this week.
In Art we have looked at 2 different artists: Picasso and Haring. We drew our own versions inspired by our chosen artist and then used brusho to add some colour.
In DT we used crayon to mark different types of lines on material and then carefully added colour with ink. We experimented with different lines and colour to see what looked best.
We loved wrapping our secret Santa presents on Wednesday to take home and give to a loved one, thank you to the PTFA for organizing this!
We also had our Christmas dinner on Wednesday and enjoyed pulling our crackers and eating yummy turkey!
On Tuesday we enjoyed our Christmas party. We played lots of party games altogether and then ate delicious party food in our classroom! Whilst we ate, Santa visited us and delivered us a special treat.
Enjoy the holidays, we hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
