Term 3-Week 2
We have another busy week of learning lined up for year two.
As writers we have been looking at how we describe. We have been using the Victorian workhouses to describe. Some superb word choices have been used.
As mathematicians we have been focusing on addition and subtraction with exchanging. We have been carefully drawing out the tens and ones and exchanging when needed.
As historians, we have been using our knowledge of the past using different sources, to find out information about Queen Victoria and the role she had in the Victorian era. We then made a timeline to show how things have changed since the Victorian era to the current day.
As scientists, we are continuing our learning of how to live a healthy lifestyle. This week we will be looking at how a balanced plate of food can also help with a healthy lifestyle.
As citizens we have been looking at our new theme, Goals and dreams. We have been thinking of what we would like to achieve and how we might achieve these goals-short term and long term.
As musicians we listened to sounds of the sea and used instruments and followed along to a steady beat. This week was all about exploration of instruments and sounds we can hear.
Reading club started this week. We had a brilliant time reading the book ‘The Kindest Red’ we then thought about what world we would like.
