Another busy week in Year 2

We’ve been learning even more about Electricity and have been learning about how to keep safe when using electricity. We have found out some amazing things during this term. We were fascinated to learn that some things are insulators and some were conductors. We couldn’t believe our eyes when the electrical current passed through some objects, like, a safety clip.

On Thursday, we walked around Uphill village identifying features on a map. We had looked at a map from 1887 and a more recent map earlier on in the week.  We were comparing how different Uphill is now to Uphill in 1887. We had historical expert, Michael accompanying us with a wealth of information. Just Wow!

As mathematicians we have started learning about multiplication. At the beginning of the week we focused on making equal groups and adding them.

As artists we have learnt how to print this week. We focussed on a technique called mono-printing and used tin foil with cotton buds. After half term we will move onto different resources.
