Term 3 Week 6
It is the last week of Term 3!
As citizens, we took part in children’s mental health week. This year the theme was ‘I belong’. We discussed what belonging means and thought about all the places that we belong. We then created some belonging posters to show were we feel safe and included. We also discussed what to do if we didn’t feel safe and who we could talk to.

As computer scientists, we took part in Internet Safety Day. We started by thinking about the role that voice assistants have in our lives. We learned that they are not real, they don’t have feelings and can’t give hugs! We discussed what they are used for and then sorted scenario cards to show safe and unsafe requests. We then finished by designing our own voice assistants and gave them a list of safe requests.

As musicians, we have been learning about pitch. We have listened to pieces of music and decided whether they were high pitch or low pitch. We then used the glockenspiels to play examples of notes at different pitches and composed a piece which was either high in pitch or low in pitch.

As artists, we have created our own printing block and used it to make a print of our choice. We loved making these and were proud of the finished examples.
