Term 4- Week 1
Week 1
Welcome back to term 4!
We kickstarted this term with reading week and have done so many wonderful activities! It was lovely to see lots of you on Tuesday for our bedtime story. We have also done some ‘drawing with Rob’, a teacher swap and listened to lots of talented authors read their stories. We also of course saw some amazing costumes on Thursday for world book day!
Thank you to all the children who created spoon characters!
This week as historians we started learning about Florence Nightingale, who she was and how she changed hospitals. We did a sorting activity and then wrote some sentences to explain the differences she made.
As mathematicians, we have started our unit of statistics, beginning with tally charts and pictograms.
This term our science project is the human body and health. We started with looking at the importance of a healthy diet (what this looks like and different food groups). We designed our own healthy meal plan.
We would like to remind you that you can access our virtual library to enjoy reading a range of books written by inspirational authors. Click on the link below to browse the library shelves.
