Term 4 Week 1
Welcome back to a brand new term!
As mathematicians, we have started to think about dividing. This week we used cubes to help us understand what we mean by sharing and grouping and then used the divide symbol to write number sentences linked with our practical work.
As historians, we completed a walk around the village with historical expert Michael. We looked at examples of Victorian houses and noticed that they have bay windows and listened to the history of Uphill Church.
As artists, we created our own printing block using carboard and string to make a repeated pattern.
As citizens, we looked at the book ‘How to be a Lion’. We talked about words of encouragement and why it is a positive thing that we are all different. We completed a pin wheel to find differences between each other and then said the sentence ‘You be you, and I will me I’ just like in the book.
