Term 4 Week 3

This week it was CLF’s big week of maths!

As mathematicians, we took part in CLF’s big week of maths. Year 2 looked at tessellation, using colours and shade to make a repeated pattern look 3D.

As computer scientists, we had our termly e-safety lesson. This term we thought about the use of voice assistants and explaining the difference between things that are real and not real. We sorted statements into those that a voice assistant could do and those that a voice assistant can’t do. We then followed a story about a household using a voice assistant and had a go at giving Google’s voice assistant commands and seeing if they could follow them or if they could answer our questions.

As citizens, we shared the book Amazing. It was about a boy and his pet dragon. The dragon couldn’t take part in some of the activities so his owner needed to think of games that they could do together. As a class, we offered suggestions for activities that they could both take part in and gave reasons as to why the boy and the dragon were such good friends. We listed the qualities of a good friend on friendship flowers.  We linked this to our No Outsider’s school status by saying that everyone is unique and we celebrate difference and inclusion.
