Term 4 Week 5
This week is our presentation of learning!
We look forward to welcoming you into school on Friday 27 March at 9am.
As scientists, we have been learning about what happens to food once we swallow it. We learned that it goes down the oesophagus and into the stomach. It can stay in the stomach for up to 4 hours. We overserved the process by using zip log back (the stomach), water (saliva and stomach acids) and bread (food). We made the bread into smaller pieces by using our hands (pretending they were teeth). We then used our hands to churn the food around in the bag and observed the process of the food being broken down. We learned that the good things like vitamins and minerals go to the blood, calcium goes to the bones and anything else comes out as waste…we thought it was funny to say poo!

As computer scientists, we have been learning how to input data into tally charts and pictograms.

As historians, we have been researched things that Brunel built. We then presented our research to the class.
