Term 4-Week 5

We can’t quite believe we only have one week left of term 4. This term Year 2 have been learning about so much.

Thank you to everyone who came to our presentation of learning on Friday. We loved being able to share all of our learning from this enquiry with you. We hoped you enjoyed it and learnt lots too.

English this week has been preparing to answer our Enquiry question-who made the  greatest difference, Florence Nightingale or Isambard Brunel? Who do you think? We engaged in a debate in class where we had the challenge of convincing someone before choosing our final answer.

Science has been all about how we swallow. We looked at how our mouth chews the food to make it smaller and how the food travels down our oesophagus and into our tummy. We talked a little about how the tummy works and churns up the food. This was demonstrated using a bag, water and bread.

Another exciting week of taking an excellent photograph. We had to take a photo using a frame to help focus the object we were taking a picture of. We then had to make sure the photo wasn’t blurry. We then had to rate our photographs and choose one we wanted to improve. Our photography skills are getting better.
