Term 4- Week 6
Week 6
This week in Year 2 we have ended our enquiry “Who has made the greatest difference?”. We loved having our exhibition this week and showing off all of our wonderful hard work. We performed our poem and then showed our learning to our audience. This week we also discussed what our favourite part of the enquiry was and why.
In English we reflected on our debate last week and then used what we’ve learnt over the last few weeks to write a persuasive piece of writing about who made the greatest difference.
As mathematicians, we continued our topic ‘shape’. We moved on to counting the faces, edges and vertices on 3D shapes and then finished with making patterns with 3D shapes.
On Wednesday, we were invited to Year 3 & 4 to be taught all about the human body. We loved listening to other children teach us about the skeleton, teeth, food groups and the digestive system.
We had a lovely time doing Easter activities including making our Easter cards. In Pluto Class we drew hare’s inspired by the author/illustrator Catherine Rayner and then finished them with water colours.
Below is a link to a super fun Easter challenge that you may want to take part in. Bring it in after Easter to get your certificate!
