Term 5 Week 3

5 days of fun fitted into 4!

Jupiter and Pluto class have been absolutely amazing this week making sure we continued all of our hard work.

Jupiter class had an amazing time trying out our third and final mechanism in DT. This week we were learning about levers and we created one with our Lego and then turned it into a catapult. Moving forwards we will be using all of our learning to create something to help put out the fire for the great fire of London.

In maths this week we learnt all about arrays and even had fun watching the number blocks race around on tracks made for their arrays. We were able to create arrays using our own blocks to show our understanding.

For our Project ‘What made London Burn’ we made a fact file all about London in 1666. We found out that King Charles II was the monarch at the time and why it was called the ‘Restoration Era’. Did you know that houses were so close together in 1666 that you could lean out of your bedroom window and shake hands with the person in the house next to you?
