Term 6 Week 3

This week is art week!

As artists, we were visited by a real artist Liz Raynor. She showed us some of her artwork, talked through and showed us different techniques that we could try in our art lessons and finished with a question and answer session.

As mathematicians, we have been applying our knowledge about money to answer problem solving and reasoning questions in a number of ways.

As scientists, we have been growing cress. We learned in Year 1 that a seed needs the right amount of water, the right amount of sunlight and the right amount of warmth to grow. Using this knowledge, we observed this process over time. We also proved that not all seeds need soil in order to grow (which is a common misconception).
