Term 6-Week 3
Week 3-nealry half way through the term!!
As writers-we are continuing our extraordinary innovated stories based on ‘The Rainbow Bear’ Your child’s writing has improved so much over the year.
In music this week we were composers and composed 3 song all different genres. We used different notes on a screen and listened to it after we finished. Next week we will compose a song on the screen again but we will try to play it on an instrument as well.
As mathematicians we have started a new week of learning, statistics. We are continuing our knowledge of using tally’s (from computing) which has then lead into using tables and pictograms. We have been discussing how we can interpret data from tables and tally’s.
In PE this week we have continued to practice for sports day but we also have also focused on our fitness with the help of balls.
As scientist, following on from our last lesson about learning about local habitats. We have now been looking at habitats of animals worldwide. We then researched how animals have had to adapt to changing habitats.
In citizenship learning, this week, has been all about how we have changed from birth-adulthood. We have been given a range of objects to sort and create a timeline of objects for babies up to adulthood.
As computing experts, following on from maths we have been designing our own pictograms based on what we wanted to investigate more.
For our Enquiry lessons this week we have explored different habitats around the world and compared them. We looked at what geographical features there are as well as what plants/animals you might find there.
