Term 6- Week 3
It has been an exciting week this week.
On Thursday, we had Andrew Moffatt in to work with children (and staff in the evening). Andrew has written the scheme-‘No Outsiders’ which we use as part of ‘Being a Citizen’ curriculum. He talked to us about differences and similarities that everyone has. We looked at the book, ‘Can I join your club?’ We talked about how we have no outsiders and should include everyone.
On Tuesday we had the opportunity to learn about Orienteering.
As writers, we have been exploring non-chronological reports and the information they give us. This will help us when we write our reports on polar bears in the next two weeks.
As mathematicians, we have been continuing our learning on measure. We have been looking at looking at the mass of something.
As scientists, we have been looking at habitats of animals and how they adapt to new habitats or when their habitats get destroyed. We have written facts about these animals.
As citizens, we have been looking at changes and comparing the changes of someone older than us. After this, we looked at why we respect the person we have chosen to look at.
As Geographers, we have been learning about how are local habitats are different to habitats around the world.
