Term 6-Week 5
Another exciting and busy week 5 for year 2!
As readers, we have been sharing our reading books with Sputnik Class. This is to help us get ready for our move to KS2. We had the best time and left with huge smiles on our faces.
As writers, we have been finishing off our incredible reports on Polar Bears. The facts we have found out about Polar Bears have been phenomenal.
As mathematicians, we have been looking at position and direction-learning our left and right. We have been testing our friends and directing them around the playground-such fun. We ended our week creating patterns with different colours and shapes and described how some of them turned.
As Scientists, we have been learning about food chains and why these are important in our eco systems. We have learnt what the vocabulary; herbivores, carnivores and omnivores means as well as learning what producers, consumers and predators mean. We are such experts at this now!
As computer scientists, we have been reminding ourselves about Scratch and how we can move our Sprites around and what the different animations do.
As citizens, we have been talking about things we like and things we don’t like for example ‘touch’. We then thought about different types of affection and represented this in a picture.
