Term Two- Week Five
Another busy week of incredible learning and practising for our carol concert.
As writers we have been learning about imperative verbs and what they mean. We have been thinking of being ‘bossy’ and instructing our friends to different things.
As mathematicians we have been learning to add three, three digit numbers. We have been using ten frames to help us to partition to ten and then add on from then. This tool helps us grapple and pictorially understand this concept.
As geographers, we have been learning about Shanghai and how it is different to Weston super Mare. Did you know Shanghai has the biggest Disney in the whole world?
As scientist, we have been learning about the different states of water. What happens to water when we freeze it and boil it? We the Rhythm and Rain book to help understand this concept.

As computer experts, we have been looking at how lighting can affect our photographs. We have practised looking at taking photos under tables in the dark and outside in natural light.
As citizens, we have been talking about similarities and differences within each other. We have been discussing if we are different to someone, does this mean we can still be friends? The children were fantastic at talking about how brilliant it is to be different and everyone is different.
As artists, we have been using our knowledge of line and shape to create pictures of animals. We’ve used collaging techniques to do this.
