Week 4

This week we continue to have lots of fun in Year 2.

In English we are working on, ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. We made Mr and Mrs Grinling  adjective Slinkys  and we have also created a story S to help us retell the story.

We have been busy working on place value in maths. We have been counting in tens and ones and completing number lines. We even made human number lines making sure that everyone was in the correct place.

During our enquiry lesson, we went on a virtual tour of Marine Parade in Weston-Super-Mare. Next, we created our own maps showing some of the places that you can visit along the seafront.

As scientists, we applied our knowledge of solids, liquids and gases by sorting a variety of object cards into the correct group.
