Week Beg : 21st March

EYFS

This week we drew pictures to represent the 5 different stages of the story ‘The three little pigs’. We used the pictures to retell the story.

As scientists we have been thinking about why materials are used for certain objects e.g. Why do we use glass for windows and not wood? What is a good material for clothes? Why?

In phonics we have been reinforcing all the sounds taught so far – see attached activity. We have been reading and writing sight word ‘my’ and ‘they’

In Maths we have been investigating rolling dice and identifying doubles e.g. 1 and 1 is double 1. Double 1 is 2. Can your child roll a dice and identify doubles of numbers?

Year 1

Thank you to all the parents who attended our phonics session , we hope this helped you.
