Term 6- Week 4
Week 4
EYFS and Year 1 had an amazing time at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm this week. We saw lots of interesting animals and took part in a minibeast workshop where we got to meet an African land snail, a hissing cockroach and a millipede! Looking at their features and classifying some animals will help us with our enquiry this term ‘how do living things survive?’. We were blown away with the knowledge the children shared.
EYFS took part in their first council crew, led by the year 5s. They were very excited and are now looking forward to a weekly council crew next year!
This week as writers we have been writing animal riddles. We thought about the adjectives we could use to describe different animals that we saw at the zoo and then wrote our own riddles for our friends to answer.
EYFS have been looking at the parts of a sunflower and talking about how they grow. They drew one and labelled the different parts, including the stem, petals, leaves and seed.
As mathematicians, Year 1 have been learning to tell the time on an analogue clock. We have mastered telling the time at o’clock and half past!
