Term 1 Week 3

What another fantastic week!

As writers we have started reading a new book called In Every House on Every Street and we have thought about our homes and the people in them. We have drawn our homes and have written some sentences about them.

As mathematicians we have looked at counting on and adding one more and one less. We used a variety of different resources and number tracks to help us with this. On Friday, we had great fun acting out songs, such as Five little Speckled Frogs, to explore zero.

A scientist we have started our new inquiry ‘What are the properties of everyday materials?’. We have started by asking questions and finding out what we already know about materials. We then looked at sorting different materials and what categories they can go into.

As artists we have explored the work of a Keith Hering and shared what we liked or disliked about his art.
