Term 1- Week 5
Week 5
As mathematicians, Year 1 have been using less and greater than symbols (< > =) to compare to numbers. We practised using them and answered some reasoning questions to apply our new learning.

EYFS have been reading The Little Red Hen and have enjoyed creating a story S and using finger puppets to retell the story.

Year 1 have produced some amazing descriptive sentences about the houses we saw in the story ‘In Every House on Every Street’.

As Scientists this week we looked at why objects are made out of certain materials. We discussed why windows are made of glass and why jumpers are made of cotton. Then we explored the question ‘what if everything was stretchy?’ and thought of some bizarre scenarios!

EYFS have enjoyed some cutting this week and practising the letters in their name in different ways.
